Minimise 2004
One of the hottest producers in Ireland (Force Inc, D1) presents complex, epic and romantic tech-dub that will open your heart, but still with the necessary deepness.
De:Bug
Donnacha Costello takes a well deserved break and lets David Donohoe bask in the spotlight here on Minimise's latest release. Donohoe responds like a seasoned pro with two tracks that blend Maurizio and Basic Channel elements with, dare we say it, trancey basslines and synth arrangements. The result is like dynamite for your dancefloor especially during the peak hours. Supported heavily by Michael Mayer and the Voight brothers.
Vital Vinyl
A mesmerising cross between dubby techno and what we used to call trance (way back in ver Harthouse days) – deep drums, a simple 303, hissing percussion, reverbed FX and lovely chords. I can’t stop listening to this. Subtle and totally effective.
Barry O'Donoghue, Hot Press
This label rocks! David Donohoe provides probably the chunkiest of the Minimise releases. A lush melodic but driving progressive edged tech house affair with a slightly deeper cut on the flip with hints of 303.
3 Beat Records
Complex and multi layered two tracker of the techy house gear by producer who cut his teeth as the production partner for Donnacha Costello from MIlle Plateaux. Both tracks here are nice haunting panoramic soundscapes with an uplifting sunset feel to them.
